Barbie® doll's dreams came true in 1961 with the arrival of her first and only true love — Ken® doll! Featuring flocked blond or brunette hair, Ken® came in a red cotton swimsuit with white side stripes and cork sandals with red plastic straps. A yellow terry towel came with most of the dolls. Some earlier versions came with red knit swim trunks.
