Description

Release Date: 1/1/1965

Barbie® doll achieved an artist's dream – her very own one-woman show of her paintings at the local gallery! Her dress was a masterpiece of delicate roses printed on cotton overlaid with green organza. The roll collar and sash were fashioned of the green organza. Matching high heel closed-toe pumps completed her ensemble. She put the finishing touches on her Peoples' Choice painting just the morning of the show's opening! It was a landscape signed by Barbie® doll, framed in a gold and white (plastic) frame. The show's program is hard to find—it is an orange paper that reads, "Mattel Art Gallery presents Paintings by Barbie © 1964 Mattel, Inc. Japan. "
